Live Love Lake Waramaug
Lake Waramaug provides us all with an extraordinary sanctuary to connect with nature and make lifelong memories with family & friends. But we need to take action to preserve the natural beauty of the lake and its surrounding areas now and for generations to come.
Live Love Lake Waramaug is the Lake Waramaug Association's new initiative to care for and enjoy our local treasure. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to Live Love Lake Waramaug through the recent 36-hour Live Local online event. Your contributions will go directly to funding several important programs to help preserve the lake's natural beauty including:
Lake It Grow: supporting the replanting of State Park trees lost to disease. Drive to increase native & buffer plantings including resources/presentations from local gardeners and landscape designers promoting shoreline erosion control, beautification, & geese deterrence.
Lake It Low Impact: advocacy, education & awareness of best practices for our sustainable future in coordination with the towns, conservation organizations, real estate professionals, contractors, residents, & visitors.
Lake A Hike: a series of free guided hikes for all levels on the lake's watershed trails, including improvement of trails & markers.
